Bike Rentals

Enjoy the sights of historic Merrickville and the heritage Rideau Canal by bike, follow one of the local bike routes, and get some fresh air at the same time.
Our new bike rental service was started in response to visitors wanting to tour the area by road, and get a close-up look at Merrickville's heritage buildings, the side roads, and the areas bordering the canal.
We have Norcos, CCMs, and others, all tuned and equipped with locks, water bottle clips and bells. Helmets are also available, and our insurers are requesting that all our renters wear an approved helmet.
2012 Rates: (taxes extra)
Half-day (up to 4 hours): $12
Day (9:00am to 5:00pm): $20
Weekend: $30
Week : $50
We'll discount for groups. To book your bike, call us at the store (see Contact Us), or e-mail us. Advance reservations are great, but we'll still be able to put you on the road if you just drop by the store. Our hours are 10 to 5, Tuesday to Saturday, and noon to 5, Sundays and Mondays.
We require advance payment, identification, and a current VISA or Mastercard. You should bring bottled water and curiousity.

Wear your PFD!
Our boats are safe when used properly, but will tip if you're careless. We advise you not to go out in high wind, and to use your intuition, be cautious, and paddle with a buddy. We advise you not to rent our boats if you are not a competent swimmer.
Lock your cell phone and valuables in your car, and use a water-tight camera case. We do supply dry-bags on request. Bring your own PFD and/or paddle if you feel more comfortable with them. Bring sunscreen, a hat, water and snacks. Whatever you forget is sold in Merrickville.
Don't be afraid to cancel and reschedule if the weather is not suitable - we want happy outcomes, and cancellations are always part of this business.
